Catherine Lloyd Burns was born and lived for years in New York City. Her mother currenly heads the interactive telecommunications department at New York University.Influenced by her father's work in entertainment, she became quite interested in acting. She was young when she realized she was interested in becoming an actess. She first realized that she should study medicine at Barnard College. Two years later, Burns was transferred to the Tisch School of the Arts and NYU. Later in life, after graduating from college, she worked with the Naked Angels, a non-profit theater company. As the years went on, she made guest appearences in shows such as "ER" and "Party of Five." She has currently reached Lateline at NBC where she stars as "Mona." In addition, she is a mentor and a member of a Jewish Women Foundation. Her birthday is in April.
